Team Member Biographies 

 

Brad Smith, Director of Business Development 

 

Brad Smith is an accomplished sales and new business development professional. Prior to joining Axiom, he served as Director of Sales for The McManus Group, a profit management company in Oklahoma, as well as New Business Director for Global Colleague, a litigation services firm in Washington, DC. Previously, Brad was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Corporate Rain International in New York, one of the nation’s top rated new business generation firms. Smith worked successfully with corporate new business and lead generation in both direct and indirect sales for a variety of industries -- including Technology, Telecommunications, Mutual Funds, Investor Relations, Publishing, Energy, Public Relations, Advertising and Non-Profits.  He was at the helm of the creative and operational teams helping the company move in new directions and developed systems to streamline the company. He was also the architect of Corporate Rain’s national speakers and training bureau. As Director of the Southeastern Division, Smith headed up a team of Account Associates and managed new business initiatives in the Southeast and Midwest. 

 

Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wofford College and has taught biology and chemistry in both the United States and Africa. He also worked as a political organizer in the anti-apartheid movement in Zimbabwe for the Global Board of the United Methodist Church.

 

 Zoran Kehler, Director

 

Mr. Kehler has 18 years of business development and operating experience in wireless, Internet software, investments and computer hardware.

 

Prior to joining Axiom, Mr. Kehler was a Director of Business Development and Operations at Everest Wireless Partners, a private equity group investing in emerging wireless operators worldwide. Mr. Kehler was President of AIRCOM International, Inc., a leading global wireless consulting company, from 2004 until 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Kehler has held executive and management positions at LCC International, Vision, Inc., Schema and Ericsson.

 

Mr. Kehler holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The School of Electrical Engineering at University of Belgrade, Serbia. He has authored books on software and Internet, and writes a monthly column for a computer magazine in Serbia.

 

Peter Pernebo, Director

 

Peter Pernebo has eighteen years of experience with a focus on innovative IT and financing solutions. He has a proven track record for successfully developing and delivering technology-enabled business solutions in the finance, products, and telecommunications industries in the US, Europe, Japan, and Canada.

 

Mr. Pernebo joined Axiom as a Director in Green System Procurement. Prior to Axiom he was with Verizon Business where he was responsible for defining and developing Verizon’s Smart Grid concept in both the south and northeast markets. Previously, he was a Vice President for Totality, a leading provider of customer solutions for website operations. In this role, Mr. Pernebo was part of the leadership team that developed Totality from a start up into a sustainable $70 million per year business, and where he played a key role in successfully negotiating a merger with MCI/Verizon in 2006. Before that he was a Director with Accenture, where he focused on supply chain and CRM program implementations on a global basis.

 

Mr. Pernebo holds a Business degree in Business Strategy and Economics from the University of Lund in his native Sweden.


 Linda Stephens, Manager

 

Linda Stephens has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry in trading, sales and client support working for companies such as Kidder Peabody, Dean Witter and Smith Barney.

 

Prior to joining Axiom, Linda managed private wealth clients’ portfolios along with running the day to day operations of the trading desk at UBS.  Linda held her series 7, 8, 63, & 24 securities licenses.  Linda later obtained a position on the equity derivative/options strategy desk as a business manager.  After taking several years off to raise a family and engage in community non-profit endeavors, Linda re-entered the work force within a marketing capacity for Colchis Capital Management.  Linda’s main objective was to support the head of marketing in his efforts to raise capital for their subprime mortgage and credit default swap funds.  Both of which were extremely successful.

 

Linda graduated magna cum laude from the College of New Rochelle with a business degree.  She will also be pursuing her master’s degree this fall at the University of Bridgeport.
